# A brief intro to CIAN

In the rapidly evolving landscape of decentralized finance (DeFi), managing yield activities can be a daunting task. The entire process, from identifying promising yield opportunities, tracking various projects for investment planning, monitoring positions to prevent liquidation, rotating assets across emerging yield sources can become overwhelming, let alone the fact that designing and implementing sophisticated yield strategies usually requires strong expertise in both ecosystem and technology. The complexity and constant monitoring required often lead to confusion and frustration, CIAN's one-click yield layer helps you solve all the tedious tasks

### Simplifying Yield Activities in DeFi with [CIAN](https://yieldlayer.cian.app/vaults?utm_source=0x94cAA00618828CB55b53cba98610C69Cfdf09A88)

CIAN defined the domain of yield layer which is a virtual layer that consolidates both the sustainable and nascent yield sources across the entire crypto space, and redistributes them to various assets, networks for yield optimization and sustainable DeFi ecosystem. CIAN maintained a flawless security record with no exploits or liquidations for 2 years. CIAN helps on-chain asset holders achieve best-in-class APYs with a single click, earning from DeFi yield opportunities safely and efficiently. CIAN protocol is only focused on the scalable, sustainable, and high-quality crypto yield sources, eg. LST, LRT, RWA, and Funding rates.

### How does [CIAN](https://yieldlayer.cian.app/vaults?utm_source=0x94cAA00618828CB55b53cba98610C69Cfdf09A88) achieve an optimized & secure APY?

* **Yield Source Consolidation** \
  Consolidation of both sustainable and nascent yield sources across the crypto space.
* **Dynamic Yield Source Redistribution** \
  Market climate-based dynamic redistribution of yield sources/ strategies to assets.
* **Advanced Automation** \
  Automated position mgmt. & risk mgmt.
* **Decentralization** \
  From distribution of yield sources to strategy execution.

### Understanding Yield Sources with [CIAN](https://yieldlayer.cian.app/vaults?utm_source=0x94cAA00618828CB55b53cba98610C69Cfdf09A88)

Users holding standard cryptocurrencies such as ETH, stETH, wETH, wBTC, AVAX, or Matic might wonder how CIAN helps them earn more from LST, LRT, funding rates, and RWA. Here’s a breakdown of these yield sources:

**Liquid Staking** is a new way to earn passive income from staking assets without locking them up. It is an alternative to traditional staking, which requires users to lock up their tokens to contribute to the security of proof of stake blockchains. As an example, if you hold ETH, you may instead get Lido’s stETH to earn a passive yield while conserving the same price value.\
\
**Liquid Restaking**, as the name suggests, this alternative shares a lot of similarities with liquid staking although the core mechanisms vary. (see EigenLayer for more information)

**Funding Rates** is a periodic payment made between traders who are long and short in a perpetual futures contract. It is unique to perpetual contracts, which unlike traditional futures contracts, do not have an expiry date\
\
**Real-World Assets** are digital tokens that represent physical and traditional financial assets, such as currencies, commodities, equities, and bonds.

All ready-made strategies are designed to help users maximize their returns while minimizing their risks, making them an ideal tool for both novice and experienced investors.

This will affect the rewards you can claim when TGE/Airdrop.<br>

<mark style="color:orange;">**Want to earn more CIAN Points?**</mark>&#x20;

Please check [CIAN Voyage Points](https://docs.cian.app/point-system/cian-voyage-points)
{% endhint %}

### Game Rule

Welcome to the fun games! Here’s how it works:

1. **Game Duration**: Each prediction will last 7 days (08:00 Monday UTC - 00:00 Sunday UTC). For the first 4 days, you can place your points on the option you believe will win in this round.
2. **Freeze**: During the last 3 days, the prediction will be closed, and no more points can be placed.

#### Winning and Rewards

* **Winners**: Those who place points in the winning option will receive rewards. The rewards are distributed based on each winner's share of the total points on that option
* **Reward Pool**: The rewards come from the points of the losing options
* **No Winners Scenario**: If none of the options win, the game does not pay out. Instead, the points from this game roll over to the next prediction in the same series
* **Roll-Over Points**: If the next game requires a payout, 50% of the rolled-over points will be added to the current prize pool, while the remaining 50% will continue to roll over to the following game

### How to play games?

* Enter the Game Page:&#x20;
* Choose the game you want to play in 'Coupons';
* Choose the option you believe will win in the end and enter the amount of points you want to bet

<figure><img src="/files/FwcLggs48MIzSHgR1pO0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/8gklRaQoDKMcMtJd8yhY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

For example:

I choose to play "steakLRT vault TVL growth." The options are:

* Slow: 10%-20% growth
* Rocket: 20%-40% growth
* To the moon: 40%-60% growth

I choose the 'Rocket' option and place 300 points, then wait for the draws. The final result shows 'Rocket' as the winner. The 'Slow' option had a total of 1000 points, 'To the moon' had 3000 points, and 'Rocket' had a total of 1200 points bet. My return is calculated as:

(300÷1200) × (1000+3000) = 1000 Points\
\
So, my return is 1000 points.

### How create my prediction pool?

* Click 'Create' in the top right corner
* Select/fill in the following fields in order:
  * Prediction Target
  * Prediction Pool Name
  * Prediction Options
  * Start Time
  * Deadline
  * Draw Time
* Then you can your prediction pool in "My creation" and share this pool to your frens!

<figure><img src="/files/TICcEn0T0PNODQF1Jl5N" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/b3x7SzNEZJEmO03RgfPS" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Tips:**

1\. For the prediction pools you create, you will receive 10% of the total prediction points as a reward when users participate.

2\. Please make sure you have points with this wallet address before creating a prediction pool.

3\. You are allowed to create up to 3 prediction pools at the same time; after they conclude, you can create more.

# Risk Warning

Security audits don't eliminate risks completely. Never supply your life savings, or assets which you can’t afford to lose.

**Risks of other protocols** As secure as CIAN may be, we are not in control of potential breaches for integrated protocols. If some of your funds are invested in protocol X, where a breach or incident was to happen, you might lose part of your funds.

**Volatility of cryptocurrencies** As an emerging market, cryptocurrencies offer great benefits but also great risks due to their volatility. The value of your assets in CIAN may vary significantly because of the market.

**Network performance** CIAN is built on various blockchains, the performance of each chain is limited and congestion failures may occur when extreme market conditions are met. This may affect your usage of CIAN and lead to the loss of your funds.

**Risks of Smart Contracts** The smart contracts of asset allocation and strategy implementation might suffer from security issues. CIAN's asset allocation is based on multi-sig to ensure maximized security, and CIAN’s strategies are all battle-tested. No single liquidation happened in the past 2.5 years. Also, withdrawal is going through batched execution with manual review.

All information provided in connection with your access and use of the Services is intended for informational purposes only. While we strive to provide accurate and reliable information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information provided. You should not take, or refrain from taking, any action based on any information contained on CIAN.app or any other information that we make available at any time.

#### Users retain full control over their crypto assets

It is important to understand that we do not have any individual possession, custody, or control rights over any crypto assets or any user’s funds. Each transaction requires joint signatures from multiple parties. You acknowledge that when interacting with the CIAN protocol, you retain full control over your crypto assets at all times.

#### Users use third-party self-custodial wallets; we have no control over wallets

To interact with the CIAN Protocol, you will need to connect and engage with it through your self-custodial wallet. Your self-custodial wallet is provided by a third-party entity and is governed by separate terms and conditions set by the respective third-party service provider. Reviewing and comprehending the terms associated with your chosen wallet provider is your sole responsibility.

#### There may be associated blockchain fees

Transactions using blockchains may require the payment of gas fees, which are network transaction fees paid on every transaction that occurs on the selected blockchain network. Please note that gas fees are non-refundable. We do not receive any fees for any transactions or the Services.

### 3. Assumption of Risk

#### You assume the risks of engaging in novel and experimental technology

Technologies such as smart contracts on various blockchains, cryptographic tokens, and other nascent software that interact with blockchain-based networks are experimental, speculative, inherently risky, and subject to change. Among other risks, bugs, malfunctions, cyberattacks, or changes to the applicable blockchain could disrupt these technologies and even result in a total loss of cryptoassets or their market value. We assume no liability or responsibility for any such risks.

#### We are not liable for any third-party services or links

We are not responsible for the content or services of any third-party, including, without limitation, any network or apps like MetaMask or other wallets, and we make no representations regarding the content or accuracy of any third-party services or materials.

#### You agree to the automated collection and disbursement of proceeds by smart contracts

You acknowledge and agree that all transactions accessed through the blockchain-based networks will be automatically processed using one or more smart contracts. By engaging in transactions using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to the automatic processing of all transactions.

#### You are solely responsible for the security of your self-custodial wallet

You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your self-custodial wallet. We do not have access to your private keys. Any unauthorized access to your self-custodial wallet by third parties could result in the loss or theft of any cryptoasset or funds.

#### We reserve the right to restrict your access from engaging with the Services

You agree that we have the right to restrict your access to the Services if we suspect, in our sole discretion, that you are using the Services for money laundering or illegal activity, have engaged in fraudulent activity, are the target of any sanctions, or have otherwise acted in violation of these Terms.

#### We do not guarantee the quality or accessibility of the Services

The Services may be inaccessible or inoperable for any reason, including equipment malfunctions, periodic maintenance, disruptions and temporary or permanent unavailability of underlying blockchain infrastructure or unavailability of third-party service providers.

### 4. Taxes

#### You are responsible for your taxes and duties

Users bear sole responsibility for paying any and all taxes, duties, and assessments now or hereafter claimed or imposed by any governmental authority associated with their use of the Services and/or payable as a result of using and/or exploiting any cryptoassets and interacting with smart contracts. Blockchain-based transactions are novel, and their tax treatment is uncertain.

### 5. Ownership

#### We grant you a license to use our Services

Contingent upon your ongoing compliance with the Agreement, we grant you a personal, worldwide, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-assignable license to use the software provided to you as part of our Services.

Except as expressly set forth herein, your use of or access to the Services does not grant you any ownership or other rights therein.

#### We may use and share your feedback

# Bondify Value Proposition

Bondify brings leveraged positions and illiquid yield-bearing RWAs on-market: tradable, continuously priced.

#### **The problem**

A leveraged looping position on DeFi has no clean exit. Unwinding takes the underlying asset's full unstake cycle — days for liquid yield assets, weeks or longer for RWAs — and at high LTV without spare cash to repay debt, you have to do it round by round, stretched even longer. The position can be perfectly solvent and still impossible to exit on demand: collateral is worth more than debt, the value is there, but the time it takes to get it out is the problem.

This matters most for RWAs. In traditional finance, illiquid yield assets — private credit, tokenized treasuries, structured products, anything that isn't a listed equity — have no real collateral channel. Prime brokers extend credit lines, not loans against the asset itself. DeFi can do what TradFi can't: take an illiquid but solvent RWA and make it productive, leveraged collateral with a continuous on-chain price. That's the unlock RWAs need to actually scale on-chain, not another wrapper.

**What Bondify unlocks**

From a single looping position, three things become possible:

* **Standardize leveraged positions into a tradeable token.** A looping position that used to take weeks or months to unwind gets a live secondary price — premium when borrow capacity is tight, discount when sellers need out.
* **Separate yield from the position.** Sell future yield upfront as Yield Tokens; buyers get clean yield exposure with capped downside, sellers monetize today.
* **Exit in one transaction.** A native lending facility built for looping rather than general lending. One call to enter at full leverage, one call to delegate exit, one underlying unstake cycle. No round-by-round unwind, no third-party liquidity.

**SLF: the engine behind it**

SLF is a USDC liquidity facility, and it supplies liquidity to both strategy families, not just leverage for loopers.

* For looping: SLF provides the leverage a looper borrows to build a position. The funds never leave the protocol as cash — they're routed straight into collateral held inside the protocol.
* For yield strategies: SLF also supplies liquidity to the YT market. When buyer demand for YT exceeds what loopers have listed, SLF steps in as the backstop source. That YT supply is realized through the same looping mechanism, so both strategy families draw on one shared pool of SLF liquidity.

Without SLF, neither leverage nor yield tokens could be issued. One point worth stressing: the funds a looper borrows never leave the protocol as cash. They're routed through DEX smart order routing or the official mint path and converted straight into collateral held inside the protocol.

**Three roles, one market**

* Lender: supplies USDC to SLF, earns a fixed yield.
* Looper: builds a leveraged position, issues YT or Junior Token to monetize.
* Yield buyer: buys YT or Junior Token for yield exposure.

# Lender

### Standing Lending Facility (SLF)

#### What is SLF

SLF is Bondify's lending pool and the stable layer of the protocol. You deposit USDC; that USDC becomes the capital Loopers borrow to build leveraged positions and to issue Yield Tokens. You earn the borrowing fees those strategies pay.

Unlike a general-purpose lending market, SLF is built specifically for looping — entering and exiting a leveraged position takes one pass at each end, not a chain of supply-borrow loops.

Every deposit sits senior in the waterfall. Looper capital absorbs losses before SLF: the YT upfront payment first, then looper equity, then the treasury backstop.

#### **Why SLF exists: looping shouldn't take loops**

On a general lending market, the lending primitive is "supply collateral, borrow up to LTV × collateral." A leveraged position has to be built by looping that primitive itself:

* **Entry, loop by loop.** Each loop is supply, borrow, stake, supply again. The borrow ratio decays by LTV every round, so the total staked converges to `supply + borrow × leverage`. Reaching the target leverage takes many rounds, each costing slippage on the stake and gas on the transaction.
* **Exit, loop by loop and worse.** Without spare USDC, you can't simply repay and withdraw. You withdraw a slice of collateral (raising LTV), unstake that slice through the underlying, wait one full unstake cycle, repay debt with the proceeds, and only then can you free the next slice. Each slice waits the full cycle.

SLF runs the same actions in one pass:

* **Entry.** You supply collateral and pick your leverage. SLF borrows the full leveraged amount in a single call, and the protocol stakes the entire balance into the underlying. One transaction reaches the same `supply + borrow × leverage` total.
* **Exit.** You send one instruction to SLF. The protocol withdraws the full position, initiates unstake once, waits one underlying cycle, then repays SLF in full and returns the remainder to you. One cycle, not many.

<figure><img src="/files/oI7kjoZR5k9m37bG5N3D" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Two markets

* **General Lending Market (1vN).** Your USDC funds every supported collateral from one shared pool. Diversified exposure, blended yield.
* **Senior Lending Market (1v1).** Your USDC funds a single collateral in an isolated pool. Targeted exposure to one asset's risk and rate.

#### How you earn

SLF collects fees from both strategies it funds:

* **Looping fees** - variable borrowing fees from leveraged positions.
* **YT upfront cost** - a fixed payment YT buyers pay at purchase.

YT is issued through looping at high leverage (up to 95–98% LTV), so it carries a higher borrow rate than a plain lending pool. That lifts SLF's blended rate, and the yield paid to lenders. Supply APY is typically 4–10%, driven by utilization and the looping-vs-YT mix, not by any single borrower's leverage.

#### Withdrawals

No lockup. SLF targets \~80% utilization and holds the rest as reserve, so you can withdraw whenever liquidity is available. Under extreme utilization, withdrawals may be limited until capital frees up, including from maturing YT positions.

#### Example: an sUSDe pool

* Max LTV 80%, up to 4× leverage for looping
* Points multiplier on sUSDe collateral: 20×
* SLF is the last-resort YT seller: when the FIFO queue has no looper sellers, SLF issues YT from its own capital
* The SLF daily interest rate is the reference rate in the YT pricing formula

#### Risks

* **Asset risk.** Returns depend on the underlying RWA and interest-bearing assets. Mitigated by diversification and asset selection.
* **Liquidity risk.** Withdrawal capacity tightens at high utilization. Mitigated by reserve targets and recallable YT capital.
* **Smart contract risk.** As with any protocol. Mitigated by audits and staged rollout.

The loss-absorption order:

<figure><img src="/files/wpSzz2izoljv7sre92ML" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Looper

Looping borrows from SLF against your collateral to mint more of the same yield-bearing asset, multiplying your yield exposure.

**One-lock looping.** The borrowed USDC never reaches you as cash. When you deposit collateral and set a leverage target, the protocol borrows the target debt from SLF and immediately converts it into more of the collateral asset, routed through a DEX or the official mint path, whichever is cheaper. The entire loan becomes yield-bearing collateral locked inside the position. There is no path to borrow USDC and walk away with it, which removes the cash-out attack vector a normal lending market has.

<figure><img src="/files/w6qJb0H3z9QE1UWHvuDs" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Open a position** two ways: build natively (pick asset and leverage), or migrate an existing leveraged position from Aave or Morpho without unwinding.

**Manage** an open position: adjust leverage by adding or repaying SLF debt, claim rewards and points, or use it to issue a Yield Token or a Junior Token.

**Exit** three ways, fastest last:

* Repay debt and withdraw collateral yourself. The underlying unstake cycle applies, multiplied by leverage (a 5× position on a 7-day asset takes \~35 days to fully unwind).
* Delegated unstake: pick an exit percentage, the protocol unwinds, repays SLF, and returns your profit plus points.
* Tokenize to Junior Token and sell on the secondary market, typically within a minute.

# Issue Yield Token

Issuing a Yield Token sells the future yield of your looping position upfront, for cash. Your principal and leverage stay in place, so you keep exposure to the position itself; the buyer receives the yield it generates until maturity. You're trading the yield you'd earn over time for cash today.

While your YT is sold you still hold the position and its debt, so you still carry its liquidation risk and can repay debt to reduce it. The yield, though, goes to the buyer until you buy it back or the term ends.

> **Listing requirements** Two conditions must hold to list: your position LTV must be at or below the max borrow LTV% at listing time, and you must list 100% of the collateral (no partial listings, though buyers can fill your listing partially). Once listed, the collateral is locked. You can still repay debt to lower LTV, but you can't withdraw or unstake collateral until the listing is canceled, bought back, or settled at maturity.

> **Tokenization happens at first purchase** A listed YT isn't minted until the first buyer fills it. If a listing never fills, it's treated as if it was never issued: you keep 100% of the yield, and there's no penalty for listing and not selling. A listing that expires unfilled simply leaves your position untouched.

**Listing and the sell queue**

You list your YT for sale and it enters a FIFO queue, first in, first out; buyers fill from the front. A listing can fill partially. When it does, your position splits into two independent positions:

* The **filled** portion: YT sold, yield rights handed to the buyer until maturity. Locked.
* The **remaining** portion: still in the queue, cancelable anytime before it fills.

You can cancel only the unfilled remainder. A sold portion can't be re-listed or canceled, and once a listing fills completely the whole position is locked.

<figure><img src="/files/aCQzGtnCwTzz19vW2rEW" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Here's a single worked example you can drop into the "How the YT price moves" section. It runs one listing through full fill, partial fill over time, and SLF-rate sensitivity.

**Pricing Example: a 90-day YT listing**

Setup:

* Quantity listed: 10,000 YT representing 10,000 Collateral Token
* Maturity: 90 days out (issued May 20, 2026 → matures Aug 18, 2026)
* Implied daily rate: 0.020% (0.0002), tracking the SLF reference rate
* Asset oracle: $1.00

From the daily rate to a premium:

1. Total yield to maturity, compounded over 90 days: (1 + 0.0002)^91 − 1 = **1.84% -** what the buyer earns holding to maturity
2. Annualized for display: (1 + 0.0002)^365 − 1 ≈ **7.57% APY**
3. Convert yield to a price: premium per YT = yield ÷ (1 + yield) × oracle = 1.84% ÷ 1.0184 × $1.00 ≈ **$0.0181**
4. If fully filled today: 10,000 × $0.0178 ≈ **$181 received upfront**

**Partial fill, over time.** The price refreshes as days run down: fewer days left means less remaining yield, so a smaller premium. If your 10,000 YT fills in pieces across the term:

| Fills     | Days left | Premium / YT | Cash       |
| --------- | --------- | ------------ | ---------- |
| 4,000     | 90        | $0.0181      | $72.4      |
| 3,000     | 60        | $0.0121      | $36.4      |
| 3,000     | 30        | $0.0062      | $18.5      |
| **Total** |           |              | **≈ $127** |

A listing that drips out over the term nets less than one that fills at once ($125 vs $178), because later fills are priced off less remaining yield.

**Sensitivity to the SLF rate.** The fixed rate tracks SLF, so when SLF moves, the premium moves with it (same 90 days, 10,000 YT, $1.00 oracle):

| SLF daily rate | ≈ APY  | Premium / YT | Total if fully filled |
| -------------- | ------ | ------------ | --------------------- |
| 0.010%         | 3.71%  | $0.0091      | $91                   |
| 0.020%         | 7.57%  | $0.0181      | $181                  |
| 0.030%         | 11.57% | $0.0271      | $271                  |

A higher SLF rate means the buyer is paying for a higher yield, so the premium you collect is larger.

The general form, if you want it as a footnote: premium per YT = `(1 − (1 + r)^(−(d+1)) × oracle`, where `r` is the daily rate and `d` is days to maturity. That's the compact version of steps 1 - 3.

**Order settings**

* **Floor** - the lowest price (and implied yield) you'll accept, shown against the current SLF rate.
* **Valid until -** the listing expires on this date (default: maturity date) if unfilled.
* **AoN (all-or-nothing)** - fill the entire listing or none of it, no partial fills. *Upcoming.*
* **Limit price** - set your own price instead of taking the queue rate. *Upcoming.*

**How the YT price moves**

The YT price is the value of the yield still to come, from now until maturity. The interface shows it three ways: the YT price (the cash premium), the implied annual APY, and the daily rate.

The daily rate is the per-day yield and the implied APY annualizes it. The YT price is roughly the daily rate times the days left, so as maturity approaches there's less yield left to sell and the price falls toward zero. A buyer earlier in the term pays more; a buyer near maturity pays less.

<figure><img src="/files/6kR47jAoGx2E3QRkGsIQ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Buy back**

After selling, you can buy back your YT to restore your own yield rights, for instance if you'd rather keep earning the yield yourself. Buying back returns the yield stream to your position.

**Release to looping**

You can release a YT-issued position back to a normal looping position at any time. Because the buyer is owed the yield accrued so far, that accumulated (self-increased) yield is deducted on release; the rest returns to you as a standard looping position.

**At maturity**

At maturity the yield rights settle to the buyer: the yield accumulated over the term is deducted from your position and you keep the rest. Expect this deduction and keep headroom for it. Your position must stay below the max borrow LTV (or below the liquidation LTV, if it was migrated from an external market) so that the settlement deduction doesn't push you into liquidation.

**If the collateral is liquidated**

If the collateral depegs unrecoverably and the YT is liquidated, all of looping positions' active YT listings are canceled, and YT issue from looping positions will receives no further yield because the collateral is depegged. You can then buy back at zero cost: meaning you can release the position without buying back any balance.

# Issue Junior Token

A Junior Token represents a leveraged looping position as a standardized, fungible token. You contribute your position to a shared vault and receive Junior Tokens; you redeem them to take a position back out.&#x20;

**Naming convention**

* Symbol: `jr-[collateral]-[debt]-[protocol]-[leverage]x`
* Name: `Bondify Junior - [collateral]/[debt] ([protocol]) [leverage]x`
* Protocol codes: SLF → `SLF`, Aave → `AAVE`, Morpho → `Mor`

Example, a 5× sUSDe position funded by SLF with USDC debt:

* Symbol: `jr-sUSDe-USDC-SLF-5x`
* Name: `Bondify Junior - sUSDe/USDC (SLF) 5x`

**Why standardize.** A position's risk depends on its leverage, so two positions at different LTVs aren't comparable and can't trade against each other. The vault holds every position at one target LTV, which makes them identical: same collateral, leverage, and funding source means the same token. That sameness is what lets a market price and trade them.

**What the vault does.** The vault is a shared pool of looping positions. Each Junior Token is worth the pool's NAV divided by token supply, its per-share value. Minting and redeeming move proportional value in and out, so they don't change the per-share value; only yield (up) and losses (down) do. The redemption value rises when yield outpaces borrow cost and falls when it doesn't, which makes the token a clean price for leveraged yield exposure.

<figure><img src="/files/ORckg1UldpPxbxylBeHP" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Mint.** Contribute a position and receive tokens equal to your NAV divided by the per-share value. If your LTV differs from the pool target, the protocol adjusts at entry: above target, you repay the excess debt first; below target, the protocol returns the excess collateral to your wallet. Either way you keep the difference, and the pool stays at one LTV.

**Redeem.** Burn tokens for a proportional share of the pool. A full redemption returns the entire pool position; a partial one returns a new independent looping position with the matching collateral and debt.

**Active LTV management.** The protocol rebalances the pool to hold the target LTV. If price moves push it out of range, it deleverages back. While deleveraging, mint and redeem pause.

**Buying and selling.** Because every token in a pool is identical and continuously priced, you can buy or sell instead of building or unwinding.

Why buy:

* *No borrow capacity.* When the SLF pool has hit its cap, you can't open a new position. Buy an existing one for instant managed leverage.
* *Discount.* When sellers want out quickly, tokens can trade below NAV, so you enter cheaper than building from scratch.

Why sell:

* *Skip the unstake wait.* Unwinding yourself runs over the underlying unstake cycle, multiplied by leverage. Selling exits in one transaction, at NAV minus the cost of deleveraging at the standard leverage.
* *Premium.* When no one can borrow, new supply dries up; if demand outruns supply, tokens can trade above NAV.
* *Imbalance.* Any gap between buy and sell flow moves the price either way.

#### **How the market prices it**

A Junior Token's trade price is set on Bondify's secondary market for leveraged positions. Five principles drive how that price is formed.

<figure><img src="/files/wuE56qNRcHwAf4vSbqPa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **NAV** is what the position is worth on paper, collateral minus debt. It's a reference, not a price you can actually trade at.
* **NAV + slippage** is what it costs to build the position yourself by looping. Above this, no one would ever buy from the market.
* **One-shot exit cost** is what you'd lose to exit your own position cleanly: wait one underlying unstake cycle and pay accrued borrow cost on the debt during the wait. Doable only if you have spare cash to repay debt.
* **Loop-by-loop exit cost** is what it costs sellers without spare cash. They have to unwind a slice, wait a full unstake cycle, repay, then free the next slice — many cycles, total cost much higher.
* **Ask** is the market's sell price. It floats with supply and demand; the band between the two exit costs is its typical range, but it can sit above when supply is tight (sellers gain by selling instead of exiting themselves) or below when sellers are forced.
* **Bid** is the market's buy price. It sits below the ask, and the gap is the **LP's profit margin** — LPs supply USDC and JR so users can trade instantly, and the spread is what they earn for providing that service.

**Bid and ask, not one price.** When you sell, you receive the bid; when you buy, you pay the ask. The cost of the spread is paid by whoever actually trades, not by LPs holding inventory. Unlike a single-price AMM, where the pool quotes one price and arbitrageurs pick off whichever side is mispriced, Staple keeps the buy and sell prices explicitly apart so LPs are paid by the trading flow itself.

**The spread responds to market state.** The width of the spread isn't fixed. It moves with the state of the market.

**Anyone can quote, not only the protocol**

Bondify has two channels running side by side. The **PMM (pooled market maker)** is the protocol's own quote, always-on and algorithmic. **OTC** is a public quote board where any user can post a fixed bid or ask at any price, with no obligation to match the AMM. The two channels are independent: an OTC price can sit outside the AMM's current bid and ask, and that's by design. When they diverge, arbitrage pulls them back together, and that arbitrage is what brings outside liquidity in.

<figure><img src="/files/ovQ1eRwycpBTYcyGzWom" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The net effect: an illiquid, leveraged position gets a continuous, live price that reflects what the market is actually willing to clear at, not just what the math says it should be worth.

# Migrate from External Positions

Migration brings an existing leveraged looping position from an external lending market into Bondify without unwinding it, preserving your leveraged state. Bondify currently supports **Aave** and **Morpho**.

After migration the position is managed by Bondify and behaves exactly like a natively created one: you can manage leverage, issue a Yield Token to sell its future yield, or issue a Junior Token to buy and sell the position itself, the same as any SLF position.

**What can be migrated**

Bondify supports positions with a **single collateral asset and a single debt asset** only. Multi-collateral and multi-debt configurations are not supported.

| Configuration                 | Example                          | Supported |
| ----------------------------- | -------------------------------- | --------- |
| Single collateral & debt | ETH collateral, USDC debt | Yes |
| Multi-debt                    | ETH collateral, USDC + USDT debt | No        |
| Multi-collateral              | ETH + wBTC collateral, USDC debt | No        |
| Multi-collateral & multi-debt | ETH + wBTC, USDC + USDT          | No        |

Only one e-mode per collateral / debt pair is supported.

**How it works**

Migration is atomic, powered by a flashloan in a single transaction, so every step succeeds or reverts together with no intermediate risk. You set a target LTV at migration time and the system adjusts to it on completion. If the resulting LTV would exceed the market's limit, the transaction reverts automatically.

**After migrating**

The position joins Bondify with the same exposure you held externally, then unlocks the full set of strategies:

* Manage leverage by adding or repaying debt
* Issue a Yield Token to sell future yield upfront
* Issue a Junior Token to exit or rebalance any time on the secondary market

One note that affects pricing: a migrated position's funding source and points multiplier can differ from an SLF-native one, which is why Yield Tokens from migrated positions are valued differently.

# Yield Buyer

A Yield Token (YT) is the right to the yield a leveraged looping position generates, from the moment you buy until maturity. You pay a fixed cost upfront and receive all the organic yield (and points) the underlying collateral earns over the term. Your downside is capped at what you paid; your upside is uncapped. There's no collateral to manage and no liquidation of your own capital.

For example, pay $1,000 upfront for a 90-day YT. If the position earns $1,800 of yield over the term you collect $1,800, netting +$800; if it earns $600 you net −$400; if it earns nothing you lose the full $1,000 and no more. The cost is fixed, the yield is whatever the position produces.

**Two sources, one price**

YT supply comes from two places, both clearing through the same FIFO queue, first listed, first filled:

* **Loopers** sell the yield rights from an active looping position.
* **SLF** supplies YT from its own capital, but only as a last resort, when no looper order remains in the queue.

The queue fills from looper supply first; SLF is the backstop that keeps YT always available. The price is identical whichever source fills your order, because every listing uses the same formula.

<figure><img src="/files/HTEvLSFffBuGom18cMDk" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Why YT is a looping strategy**

When SLF is the source, it opens a looping position at very high LTV (around 95–98%): your upfront payment funds the thin equity and SLF lends the rest. That high-LTV position is what gives you the leveraged yield exposure — a small upfront cost controls the yield of a much larger position. It's the same looping machinery used everywhere in Bondify, just at extreme leverage, which is why YT is a form of looping strategy rather than a separate product.

**Pricing**

Both sources price off one number: the **SLF daily rate** for that pool. This is the protocol's reference borrow rate, quoted per day. A daily rate of 0.020%, for instance, compounds to about **7.57% APY** ((1 + 0.0002)^365 − 1). That is the fixed rate a YT buyer effectively pays: you lock it in at purchase and keep all yield the position earns above it.

A YT's cost is the present value of that rate over the time left to maturity:

```
interest rate = (1 + SLF daily rate)^days − 1
price per YT  = interest rate ÷ (1 + interest rate) × oracle
```

where `days` is the whole days remaining plus one for the current partial day. Intuitively, `YT cost ≈ YT amount × SLF daily rate × days × oracle`. The price decays toward zero as maturity nears, since fewer days of yield remain.

**Source doesn't change the price.** The formula's only inputs are the amount, the SLF daily rate, and the time left. None of them depend on who is selling. So a looper-issued YT and an SLF-issued YT of the same size and maturity cost exactly the same: the looper just supplies the yield rights into the queue, and the SLF rate sets the price. At a 0.020% daily rate with 90 days left and a $1.00 oracle, both come out to ≈ **$0.0181 per YT**, identical.

The full worked example is in [Issue Yield Token](/bondify/for-users-quick-start/user-strategies/looper/issue-yield-token).

**Buy, hold, resell**

* **Buy** from the queue at the current price.
* **Hold** to maturity to collect the yield the position earns.
* **Resell** before maturity by relisting your YT into the same queue and selling at the going price, exiting early without waiting for maturity.

**Distribution at maturity**

At maturity the protocol settles every underlying position, pools the realized yield, and distributes it to YT holders **pro-rata by holding time × YT balance** — you earn for the portion of the term you actually held. Accumulated rewards (points, airdrops) pass through on the same basis.

The pool is filled differently by source:

* **SLF-sourced:** the protocol unstakes the position, repays SLF the fixed interest owed for the term, and the remaining realized yield goes to the pool.
* **Looper-sourced:** all looping positions are released in bulk; the organic yield each accrued, measured by the collateral's index change between issuance and maturity (the self-increase), is deducted into the pool.

<figure><img src="/files/Z9veTnbFmKq2o16ioT53" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Points** accrued by the collateral are distributed on the same basis — pro-rata by holding time × YT balance — but handled off-chain rather than on-chain with the yield settlement.

**Liquidation**

If the collateral's oracle price falls far below its level at issuance, the underlying position can go underwater: its LTV passes 100%, meaning debt exceeds collateral. The YT is then marked liquidated.

* If the price may recover, the protocol evaluates case by case and organic yield keeps accruing in the meantime.
* If the drop is unrecoverable, the YT listing is canceled and the YT value is marked at 0.

**Risks**

* Loss is capped at the upfront cost; there's no liquidation of your own capital.
* Realized yield may come in below what you paid, reducing or erasing profit.
* A YT settles at maturity, though you can resell beforehand to exit early.
* If the collateral depegs unrecoverably, the YT can be marked to 0 (see Liquidation).

# Risk Management

**Asset Onboarding**

Every asset clears a risk review before Bondify issues its CCR (Cleared Collateral Receipt). The review sets three parameters — LTV, debt ceiling, stability fee — from four inputs:

* **Liquidity** - market depth (slippage at size), on-chain unstake speed, off-chain redemption time. Higher liquidity raises LTV and debt ceiling.
* **Credit** - issuer track record, yield predictability, duration, default history, legal backing. RWAs require quantifiable, defined-duration cash flows.
* **Market** - price volatility, market correlation, oracle update frequency (24/7 for crypto, daily/weekly for RWA).
* **Integration** - oracle accuracy, audit status, liquidation viability, bridge security for multi-chain assets.

Parameters re-adjust automatically when an input deviates past its threshold; governance signs off on changes.

**Liquidation & Loss Absorption**

All liquidations are executed by the protocol - there are no external or public liquidators. Positions nearing the threshold trigger alerts and partial unwind; underwater positions are liquidated in full by Bondify.

Losses are absorbed in this order:

1. **YT upside** - YT holders pre-pay for future yield, so they absorb first: once a position has no remaining upside, that forfeited yield is the initial buffer.
2. **Looper equity** - the looper's 20-30% over-collateralization absorbs next; the protocol liquidates the position in full.
3. **Treasury** - if unstaked collateral (in USDC) falls below outstanding debt across the YT and looper legs, the treasury covers the shortfall.

Operational liquidity supports execution: SLF holds a 20% USDC reserve at an 80% utilization target, and CCR pools liquidity across RWAs to avoid isolated-pool fragmentation.

**Security**

* Multi-firm audits, formal verification, ongoing bug bounty, staged deployment.
* Multi-sig governance with emergency pause.
* 24/7 monitoring; liquidation-event insurance.

**Risk Disclosure**

Residual risks remain: contract bugs, oracle failure, extreme market moves, regulatory change, RWA issuer default, and asset illiquidity. Mitigations (diversification, dynamic parameters, insurance) reduce but do not eliminate them.

# Stake & Unstake from SLF

<figure><img src="/files/uVHmrWAyAE1zvoakG9Hk" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Stake**

1. Enter the amount of USDC to deposit, and pick a market: General (1vN) for diversified exposure across all collateral, or Senior (1v1) to fund a single collateral.
2. Approve USDC, then confirm. You start earning immediately - no minimum, no lockup.

<figure><img src="/files/whdsq1dkTNbgESpu6rqz" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Withdraw**&#x20;

Enter the amount and confirm. Funds are available whenever pool liquidity allows; under high utilization, withdrawals may be limited until capital frees up.

<figure><img src="/files/zOxkEkZVCyr219RzD9vd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Create & Manage A Loop

1. **Loop.** Select the collateral asset, set your leverage target, approve, and confirm. The protocol borrows from SLF and converts it to collateral in one transaction; nothing is paid out as cash.

<figure><img src="/files/xqGQZIYDpUJSf0MglpWv" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. **Issue YT.** Choose Issue YT, set your floor and valid-until, and list. The collateral locks and buyers fill from the FIFO queue.

<figure><img src="/files/FYMOMZ7SJ52FC1nHXmso" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/eKBGltGiQACV2pZU2H6Z" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. **Cancel remaining.** While unfilled or partially filled, cancel the unsold remainder. Sold portions stay locked.

<figure><img src="/files/2bBLitEi6pzTKl3ABcI7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. **Buy back.** Buy back the full issued amount at the current market price to restore your yield rights.

<figure><img src="/files/nHw00O9utkPNzFcpITZ8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. **Release.** Release the position back to normal looping; accrued yield owed to buyers is deducted. Or wait for automatic bulk release at maturity.

<figure><img src="/files/81863d2WXet8vunezWcl" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

6. **Track positions.** View all positions, fill progress, and history under My Positions.

# Migrate an external position

1. **Migrate.** Connect your existing Aave or Morpho position (single collateral, single debt), set a target LTV, and confirm. Migration is atomic in one transaction, and the position then behaves like a native looping position.

<figure><img src="/files/TzEbwR1w8G15sSeyZhy9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/JDYoSn62X0vfRhyloNSB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/xVxlY5sMa1ubYJDii9N9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. **Issue YT.** List YT from the migrated position, setting your floor and valid-until.

<figure><img src="/files/sWUYGHJ1iNZHpoIPmP5t" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. **Cancel remaining.** Cancel the unfilled portion anytime before it fills.

<figure><img src="/files/ZFTduSTm1GTsHiG641G9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. **Buy back.** Buy back the full issued amount to restore your yield rights.

<figure><img src="/files/DxPOdXcdYJxI20mWfQYN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. **Track positions.** View the migrated position and its YT listing under My Positions.

# Buy & Manage Yield Token

1. **Buy YT.** Browse YT opportunities, pick an asset and maturity, and review the upfront cost and implied APY. Confirm to pay the cost — that amount is your maximum loss, with no liquidation of your capital.

<figure><img src="/files/qM8C57zTJabVbtnthqZy" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/dNycdAD2C18kqof29DIC" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. **Resell YT.** To exit before maturity, relist your YT into the queue and sell at the current price.

<figure><img src="/files/EYLG27sbvIennrmVh88r" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. **Claim after maturity.** After maturity, claim your yield and rewards, distributed pro-rata by holding time × balance.

<figure><img src="/files/auxPKkfIos73i8U3HFmN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. **Track positions.** Monitor cost, implied yield, and maturity under My YT Positions.

<figure><img src="/files/shnZB2hjCpdSFeMabr8w" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Mint & Trade Junior Token

1. **Mint JR.** Contribute a looping position to the Junior Token vault. If your LTV differs from the pool target, it's adjusted at entry and the difference returns to you; you receive JR tokens for your NAV.

<figure><img src="/files/fEisMo6w3Xrgt8uUg51o" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/bbkemHz8MhDbw6mhzyQZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. **Swap.** Buy or sell the Junior Token on the swap at the live price. Selling exits your position instantly; buying gives instant managed leverage.

<figure><img src="/files/mxKvsFj16sOe3YWF26H7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. **Track positions.** Monitor your JR holdings and redemption value under My Positions.

# Collateral Asset Onboarding

Onboarding turns a tokenized asset into Bondify collateral with its own YT and Looper vaults.

#### Asset Review

* **Track record:** 12+ months operating history, with documented yield sources, realized returns, risk sources, risk-adjusted returns, and Sharpe.
* **Legal:** defined legal structure and regulatory compliance.
* **Technical:** ERC-20 token from an audited tokenization provider.

#### Integration Path

**1. Oracle integration (information required from the issuer).** This is the core dependency - the asset cannot be parameterized until the issuer provides:

* **Oracle source & mechanism:** provider (Chainlink / Pyth / etc.), pricing basis (Proof-of-Reserve, NAV, or DEX market price), data source, and update frequency.
* **Mint route:** price basis (NAV vs market), cadence (real-time vs periodic), and whether minting requires a whitelist / recommended path.
* **Exit route:** redemption cooldown and execution logic, the unstake contract interface, redemption cost and who bears it, a pre-confirmation price-estimation interface, and base-stablecoin swap slippage.
* **External lending listings:** whether the asset is already listed as collateral on Aave or Morpho (this unlocks the migration fast track below).

For credit RWAs, additionally: NAV methodology (net of expected and realized bad debt), write-off policy, monthly vintage + recovery data, FX-risk bearer, and the fixed SLF rate / looper-buffer commitment (fixed senior rate / junior-buffer commitment) need to be pre-discussed.

**2. Risk modeling (Bondify-side)** - LTV and debt-ceiling calibration from the inputs above.

**3. Vault deployment (Bondify-side)** - we deploy the asset with custom risk parameters, set SLF allocation across assets and across strategies (YT vs Looper), and enable the YT and Looper vaults with target underlying-yield and borrow-cost ranges.

**4. Liquidity bootstrap (optional)** - integrate with Staple DEX to enable secondary trading. This seeds two kinds of pools: the RWA token against USDC (so the asset itself has an on-chain spot market), and the Junior Token, the standardized leveraged position, against USDC (so holders can buy and sell leveraged exposure directly). It's additive, not blocking.

#### Fast track: assets already on Aave or Morpho

If the asset is already collateral on Aave or Morpho, Bondify enables External Position Migrate from day one. Users import existing single-collateral / single-debt (USDC) looping positions directly into a Bondify Junior position - no unwind-and-rebuild - leaving only oracle and parameter setup.

#### What onboarding unlocks

Onboarding is not a one-off liquidity event. It gives the asset a standing place in a leveraged-yield market, which compounds over time:

* **Asset growth.** Looper leverage turns each dollar of issuance into several dollars of effective demand for the asset, so the same investor base supports a larger book than spot buying alone.
* **Sticky holders.** YT and Junior Token holders hold to maturity to earn, and can roll into the next term rather than redeem - turning one-time buyers into a recurring, lower-churn base.
* **A continuous price.** Standardized Junior Tokens and a live YT market give the asset an on-chain secondary price and exit, which makes new holders more willing to enter in the first place.
* **Distribution.** Direct exposure to Bondify users actively seeking leveraged-yield and yield exposure.

# Chain Integration

Bondify's stack is modular and can be deployed on other chains. The full suite - SLF, YT and Looper strategies, and Staple DEX - can be replicated on any network looking to become an RWA hub, so you launch on proven infrastructure instead of building from scratch.

## Letter to Cian Pirates: Q3 2025 RWA Primitive,

Dear Cian Pirates, Q2 2025 marked our evolution from yield optimization to something fundamentally more ambitious. As we enter Q3, we are excited to unveil our strategic direction for the next chapter of DeFi—one where we build the essential infrastructure for the future of finance. **Q2 2025: Foundation Proven at Scale** Our achievements demonstrate institutional-grade DeFi infrastructure scaling rapidly: **Ecosystem Growth:**

* 25,979 total wallets across all yield layer infrastructure,
* $1.45B total value locked across multiple protocols,
* 159.2k holders on stETH Yield Layer managing $583.87M,
* Strong Bitcoin LST adoption across FBTC, BTCLST, and other major protocols,
* 21 integrated protocols spanning to BSC, SEI, TAC ecosystem,
* 12 new automated yield strategies launched.,

**Community & Thought Leadership:**

* Hosted major Twitter Spaces on RWA infrastructure and yield strategies:,
  * USD1 as Infrastructure Currency for RWA with WLF, Stakestone, ListaDAO ![🎙️](https://discord.com/assets/46436fd7b08f1aef.svg)
  * RWAFi with Pharos, Pendle, PaimonFinance, Redstone
* Engaged 3000+ community members in strategic discussions,

**Technical Excellence:**

* 99.9% uptime across all automated strategies,
* Zero major incidents managing institutional-scale capital,

These numbers validate our thesis: the future of finance requires infrastructure bridging traditional capital markets with decentralized protocols.

**Strategic Expansion: From DeFi Yield Layer to RWA Primitive** While markets fixated on asset tokenization, we build something more fundamental: post-tokenization utility infrastructure. Tokenizing a real-world asset (RWA) is only the beginning. The real, multi-trillion-dollar opportunity lies in making these assets liquid, composable, and productive within the DeFi ecosystem. Though DeFi promised to disrupt traditional finance, its systems were designed primarily for crypto-native assets. We are filling the critical gap between RWA tokenization and true DeFi integration by making RWAs liquid and collateralizable.&#x20;

**Introducing Bondify & Staple** **Bondify: The RWA Flywheel Engine** Bondify is a specialized lending protocol designed to unlock the full potential of tokenized RWAs. It introduces:

1. **Capital-Efficient YT Generation:** A mechanism to generate Yield Tokens (YT) from RWAs at lower cost, boosting yield opportunities.&#x20;
2. **Standing Lending Facility:** A specialized lending facility designed for RWAs. Stablecoin providers earn diversified returns from borrow fees paid by both YT and Looper users across all supported RWA assets and more, while maintaining full withdrawal flexibility without lockup periods.&#x20;
3. **A TVL Flywheel:** By matching stablecoin supplies and YT demand, Bondify creates a powerful flywheel for sustainable TVL growth for RWA.&#x20;
4. **Dynamic Risk Modeling:** Bondify is underpinned by a robust, dynamic risk model that is the first of its kind. It quantifies and integrates off-chain financial data—such as an issuer's solvency and operational integrity—directly into on-chain risk parameters.

**Staple: The Liquidity Hyper-Allocation DEX** Staple solves the fragmented liquidity problem that plagues the RWA landscape.&#x20;

1. **Eliminating Isolated Pools:** For RWA issuers, this means no longer needing to build massive, costly, and isolated liquidity pools. Staple improves capital efficiency by an estimated 3-5 times.&#x20;
2. **Synergy with Lending Protocols:** Staple's shared liquidity directly empowers lending protocols including Bondify. This creates a robust, unified backstop for liquidations and enables significantly higher supply caps against RWAs.

**Q3 2025 Roadmap** Our execution plan is aggressive and clear.&#x20;

**Late August:** Launch of the Bondify Testnet, accompanied by the submission of our smart contracts for a comprehensive audit.&#x20;

**September:** Phased mainnet launch for Bondify, beginning with Ethereum and more chains to be followed, alongside the launch of the Staple Testnet.&#x20;

**October:** Staple Mainnet Launch, unlocking shared RWA liquidity across the ecosystem.&#x20;

**Value Accrual** As Bondify and Staple scale, all economic activity flows through our protocol infrastructure, creating multiple, compounding streams of value.

**Looking Ahead: A New Financial Paradigm** We stand at an inflection point. Traditional finance recognizes the efficiency of DeFi, while DeFi acknowledges the critical need for institutional-grade infrastructure and real-world value. We are no longer just building bridges between these two worlds; we are laying the foundation for an entirely new one.&#x20;

Our vision is simple: to build the core infrastructure where any productive asset can achieve true DeFi integration. We are creating a world where capital flows without friction to its most productive use, erasing the lines between traditional and decentralized finance.&#x20;

Q3 2025 will be remembered as the quarter when post-tokenization utility infrastructure proved its undeniable market fit. We are thrilled to be building this future with you.&#x20;

Sincerely,&#x20;

The Cian Captain @Luffy\_CIAN

### What is[ CIAN](https://cian.app/) Yield Layer?

The Yield Layer is a virtual layer that consolidates secure, scalable, and sustainable yield sources across the entire crypto space, reorganizes them into structured yields, and redistributes the yields to a multitude of tokens and networks. The objectives are:

1. to boost the sustainable growth of decentralized projects with the organic yield sources from the entire crypto space;
2. to provide users with the optimized yields through the dynamic (re)distribution of assets into a vector of cutting edge yield sources and yield strategies.

Within CIAN’s yield layer framework, the infrastructure provides transparent, flexible, and secure asset management with best-in-class APY for retail stETH/LRT holders. Yield Layer represents an advanced evolution in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.

   * **Internal Parameter Calculations**: Parameters are calculated internally by the contract rather than being passed in, increasing transaction success rates and reducing operational costs.

### Architecture

Users deposit their assets into the Vault contract. In return for their deposits, users receive corresponding LP tokens. These tokens represent their share of the assets held in the Vault and entitle them to a proportionate share of the returns generated by the strategies.

The allocation ratios for strategy funds within the Vault contract are set using a multi-signature wallet. This multi-signature mechanism ensures that fund allocation decisions are secure, transparent, and require consensus from multiple parties.

Based on the strategy fund allocation ratios set in the Vault contract, assets from the Vault are transferred to the corresponding strategy contracts. These strategy contracts then perform various asset operations such as leveraging/de-leveraging, adding liquidity, and other strategy-specific actions to optimize returns. Each strategy operates according to its predefined rules and objectives, aiming to maximize the value of the assets allocated to it.

### Why can CIAN's yield layer help you maximize yields?

CIAN’s yield layer is a dynamically balanced asset management portfolio. Funds deposited into the yield layer are automatically distributed across diverse yield sources, which are consolidated through the yield layer's infrastructure and advanced yield strategies. All strategies are in smart contracts to ensure maximized transparency.

### What is the difference between the yield layer and the strategy vault?

For asset holders, CIAN’s yield layer features dynamic and decentralized redistribution of yield sources/strategies to assets.A yield layer for a token asset encomposses a vector of advanced smart contract based strategy vaults, where assets are dynamically rotated based on the market conditions

### **Component Description** & Code Examples

#### **Vault Contract**

The **Vault contract** primarily receives user assets and issues LP tokens. It acts as the central repository for user deposits, ensuring that the assets are securely held and appropriately allocated to various strategies.

**MultiSig**

* **Function and Responsibilities:**\
  The MultiSig module is designed to enhance security and transparency within the system. It requires multiple signatures to approve significant actions (e.g. adjusting asset allocation parameters), ensuring that no single entity can control the assets without consensus.
* **Interactions and Dependencies:**
  * Adjusts the strategy fund allocation parameters within the Vault.
  * Executes fund transfers between the Vault and various strategies.

**RedeemOperator**

* **Function and Responsibilities:**\
  The RedeemOperator module is mainly used to record user withdrawal request data and handle the withdrawal operations. It ensures that user withdrawal requests are processed efficiently and accurately.
* **Interactions and Dependencies:**
  * Handles batch confirmations of multiple user withdrawal requests.
  * Completes each withdrawal operation in a single transaction.
* **Code Example:**

```
address thisUser_;
uint256 thisUserGet_;
for (uint256 i = 0; i < _users.length; ++i) {
   thisUser_ = _users[i];
   thisUserGet_ = _withdrawalRequest[thisUser_].mulDiv(assetPerShare_, PRECISION, Math.Rounding.Floor);
   // If the user's share is not enough to cover the gas, it will fail.
   IERC20(_token).safeTransfer(thisUser_, thisUserGet_ - _gasPerUser);
   _pendingWithdrawers.remove(thisUser_);
   delete _withdrawalRequest[thisUser_];
}
```

**Net Asset**

* **Function and Responsibilities:**

  The Net Asset module is responsible for calculating and providing the current net asset value (NAV) of the fund. It retrieves and aggregates the value of all assets held within the fund.
* **Interactions and Dependencies:**
  * Interacts with various asset tracking components to get the latest values.
  * Aggregates the data to provide the total net asset value.
* **Code Example:**

```
function totalAssets() public view override returns (uint256) {
    if (block.timestamp - vaultState.lastUpdatePriceTime > vaultParams.maxPriceUpdatePeriod) {
        revert Errors.PriceNotUpdated();
    }
    return vaultState.exchangePrice * totalSupply() / PRECISION;
}
```

**Unified ABI Interface**

**Function and Responsibilities:**

The Unified ABI Interface ensures that all strategies implemented adhere to a standard interface, allowing seamless integration with the vault without compromising the integrity of the original contracts.

**Interactions and Dependencies:**

* Facilitates the integration of new strategies into the vault.
* Ensures backward compatibility with existing contracts.

**Code Example:**

```
interface IStrategy {
function getNetAssets() external returns (uint256);
function onTransferIn(address token, uint256 amount) external returns (bool);
}
```

#### **Strategy Contracts**

Various **strategy contracts** receive assets allocated from the Vault. These contracts perform specific asset operations, such as investing, trading, or lending, based on the defined strategies to generate returns for the users.

**Position Protection**

* **Function and Responsibilities:**\
  The Position Protection module is designed to safeguard the positions based on the Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios of the borrowed assets on platforms like Aave. It sets a protection threshold lower than the LTV to prevent liquidation risks.
* **Interactions and Dependencies:**
  * Monitors the LTV ratios of borrowed assets.
  * Sets a protection line below the LTV ratio to trigger protective actions if breached.
* **Code Example:**

```
uint256 public constant MAX_PROTOCOL_RATIO = 0.85e18;
```

**Exchange Rate Safeguard**

* **Function and Responsibilities:**\
  The Exchange Rate Safeguard module ensures the safety and profitability of funds during the position-building process by setting the worst acceptable exchange rate for swaps. If the rate exceeds this threshold, the transaction is reverted to protect the funds.
* **Interactions and Dependencies:**
  * Monitors and sets the worst acceptable exchange rates for trading pairs.
  * Reverts transactions if the exchange rate is worse than the specified threshold.
* **Code Example:**

```
if (spentAmount_ > desc_.amount) revert Errors.OneInchUnexpectedSpentAmount();
if (returnAmount_ < _swapGetMin) revert Errors.OneInchUnexpectedReturnAmount();
```

#### **Manager Module**

* **Function and Responsibilities:**\
  The Manager module ensures the security of assets by using multiCall to batch execute operations like position adjustments and user withdrawals. This approach maintains atomicity, ensuring that either all operations succeed or none do, thereby protecting the integrity of the system.
* **Interactions and Dependencies:**
  * Executes batch operations securely.
  * Ensures atomicity in operations to maintain system integrity.
* **Code Example:**

```
function multiCall(address[] calldata _addresses, bytes[] calldata _callBytes) external onlyOperator {
   if (_callBytes.length != _addresses.length || _addresses.length == 0) revert Errors.InvalidLength();
   for (uint256 i = 0; i < _callBytes.length; ++i) {
      Address.functionCall(_addresses[i], _callBytes[i]);
   }
}
```

# Yield Layer Risk Disclosure

At CIAN, the creation of each yield layer is predicated on a rigorous due diligence framework. We conduct comprehensive analysis and forensic investigation of all potential partners and underlying assets to evaluate the sustainability and safety of the product. Our specific risk assessment criteria are detailed below:

**1. Protocol Selection and Counterparty Risk**\
Our strategy prioritizes integration with top-tier protocols. These entities generally possess superior liquidity depth and robust security architectures, making them the only suitable environments for significant capital flows.

* Strategic Integration: We assess the depth of partnership and technical integration. For instance, CIAN maintains an exclusive partnership with AAVE and Lido, designed specifically to ensure the security of capital movement and protocol interoperability.

**2. Underlying Asset Quality and Traceability**\
We perform a granular analysis of all underlying assets to identify inherent risks. This includes verifying the traceability of assets on-chain and determining the existence of exclusive partnership agreements that may enhance asset security.

**3. Lending Market Dynamics and Interest Rate Volatility**\
We analyze the supply and demand mechanics of the lending pools to mitigate interest rate risks:

* Supplier Concentration Risk: We evaluate the distribution of asset suppliers. High concentration poses a risk; if a dominant supplier executes a large withdrawal, the pool’s utilization rate may surge. This triggers a sharp increase in borrowing rates, which can temporarily cause the yield layer’s APY to turn negative.
* Market Fluctuation: Historically, such events are classified as normal market fluctuations, with pools typically rebalancing and stabilizing within a one-week timeframe.

**4. Collateral Risks and Solvency**

* Collateral Risk: We investigate whether collateral assets are available for borrowing by other market participants. If collateral can be borrowed, there is a risk of bad debt accumulation stemming from low-quality assets within the protocol.
* Liquidation Risk (Actual LTV): We continuously monitor the Actual Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios to assess and mitigate the risk of liquidation events under various market conditions.

**5. Liquidity and Deleveraging**\
We assess the ability to exit positions under both normal and extreme market conditions:

* Immediate Exit Liquidity: We verify the feasibility of immediate deleveraging via Decentralized Exchanges (DEX). We account for swap costs, factoring in a standard slippage tolerance of 1% to 2% to recover deposit assets.
* Exclusive Exit Channel: We prioritize assets and partners that offer exclusive, direct exit channels to ensure liquidity is accessible even during periods of market stress.

**6. Transparency and Audit**\
To ensure operational integrity, we conduct a thorough review of asset transparency:

* Audit Verification: We require comprehensive, up-to-date audit reports.
* On-Chain Forensics: We verify that assets do not point to unknown, unverified, or high-risk contract addresses.
* Proof of Reserves: We evaluate the frequency and validity of asset proof reports and reserve updates.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of decentralized finance (DeFi), managing yield activities can be a daunting task. The entire process, from identifying promising yield opportunities, tracking various projects for investment planning, to rotating assets across emerging yield sources can become overwhelming, let alone the fact that designing and implementing sophisticated yield strategies usually requires strong expertise in both ecosystem and technology. The complexity and constant monitoring required often lead to confusion and frustration, causing many users to abandon their efforts altogether.

To address the above problem in the stETH ecosystem, CIAN is looking to offer an ultimate yield layer for ETH/stETH holders that

1. simplifying the management of ETH/stETH staking and restaking activities through a stETH based lrt aggregator that renders the most valuable LRT yield and incentives in the ecosystem.
2. optimizing ETH/stETH holders’ yield with CIAN’s advanced yield strategies built around stETH and stETH LRTs.

#### Yield Strategies for stETH based LRTs

A pivotal component of the [stETH yield layer](https://yieldlayer.cian.app/vaults/0xB13aa2d0345b0439b064f26B82D8dCf3f508775d?chainId=1) is CIAN’s yield strategies, which have impeccable track records. Aside from the advanced strategy design, which is exemplified in the “Hybrid Long-Short Strategy'' section below, CIAN’s strategies features both capital efficiency and security supported by its advanced automation.

* **Optimized Asset Management:**
  * Sourcing and Timing of Asset Deposits: CIAN strategies analyze market conditions and trends to minimize deposit costs, allowing users to benefit from early bird incentives and avoid suboptimal staking periods without constant market monitoring.
* **Built on top of long-standing DeFi Protocols:**
  * Security and Reliability: CIAN strategies are built exclusively on top of long-term battle-tested leading DeFi protocols.
  * Partnerships and Early Access: By cultivating long-term partnerships with leading DeFi protocols, CIAN ensures its users gain early access to the latest features and updates.
* **Rigorous Security Measures:**
  * Smart Contract Audits: CIAN's smart contracts undergo both peer reviews conducted by top DeFi teams and rigorous audits performed by trusted security teams with proven expertise (not necessarily big names).

1. User deposits BBTC/FBTC into FBTC Yield Layer.
2. The FBTC Yield Layer will convert BBTC to FBTC at 1:1 rate.
3. The FBTC Yield Layer then will supply the deposited FBTC into Avalon lending market and use it as collateral to borrow USDa based on the target LTV (currently at 60%) set by the smart contract.
4. The FBTC Yield Layer will then convert USDa to USDT, to mint USDe on Ethena and stake USDe to sUSDe.

#### What is unique about FBTC Yield Layer?

* The FBTC Yield Layer includes a rebalance mechanism. This additional safeguard is implemented to mitigate potential liquidation events.
* Holders will receive 100% of sUSDe return and 100% ENA points from the underlying USDe position (at 20x multiplier).
* The yield of FBTC Yield Layer comes from the carry trade position between sUSDe staking yields and $ENA rewards from USDe and borrowing cost of USDa.

**Receipt token (ylFBTC):** certificate of deposit, reflecting a share of the FBTC Yield Layer

**Net Value:** Current estimated value of position

\= Quantity of receipt token \* Price of receipt token

**Earnings:** Estimated earnings

\= Net Value - Principal

**Points:** Based on real-time TVL position, the user will accumulate Points from various protocols. The airdrop timeline for Points is determined by each protocol individually, so please be aware of the specific claim schedule set by each protocol.

**Rewards:** FBTC Yield Layer will convert a portion of the earnings ($ENA) into wBTC regularly to autocompound the value of the receipt token. Users can claim the rest of their rewards here.

# BTCB Yield Layer

### FAQ:

1. Q: How can I claim the rewards?\
   A: The rewards will be distributed through smart contract to your deposit address directly
2. Q: Why does my principal keep decreasing?\
   A: The BTCB Yield Layer's BTCB Borrow WBNB - PTclisBNB Recursive Staking strategy involves a process that requires using BTCB as collateral to borrow WBNB, which incurs borrowing rates. The principal decreases because borrowing rate needs to be paid

# BNB Yield Layer

# slisBNB Yield Layer

### Yield Layer Overview

The “yield layer” for slisBNB is defined by CIAN as a virtual layer that consolidates, reorganizes all the secure and sustainable yield sources across the entire crypto into structured yields, and redistributes the yields to on-chain asset holders. The objective is to empower sustained growth of slisBNB on-chain liquidity and TVL leveraging yield sources across the entire crypto space. CIAN's yield layer offers sustained competitive advantages by excelling in yield source consolidation, innovative yield strategy design, and decentralization.&#x20;

### CIAN’s Approach to Yield Strategies

The slisBNB yield layer will incorporate three main types of strategies to maximize benefits:

1. **slisBNB Recursive Staking Strategy:** This strategy increases the rewards from slisBNB staking, multiplying returns by up to 15 times, while protecting users from risks like liquidation.\
   \ <mark style="background-color:yellow;">Workflow:</mark> Supply slisBNB and then borrow BNB ⭢ Mint wBNB to slisBNB ⭢ Resupply the slisBNB and start looping until the target LTV is reached
2. **PT-clisBNB Recursive Staking Strategy:** This strategy increases the rewards from Pendle PT, multiplying returns by up to 15 times, while protecting users from risks like liquidation.\
   \ <mark style="background-color:yellow;">Workflow:</mark> Use slisBNB to mint clisBNB on Pendle, get YT-clisBNB and PT-clisBNB ⭢ Supply PT-clisBNB to Venus and then borrow wBNB ⭢ Mint wBNB to clisBNB on Pendle Pendle and start looping until the target LTV () is reached
3. **Borrow to Farm Strategy:** This strategy combines yields from LP pools and Binance launch pools, creating sustained high yield that remains attractive even as market conditions change.\
   \ <mark style="background-color:yellow;">Workflow:</mark> Supply slisBNB and then borrow lisUSD on Lista ⭢ Swap lisUSD to USDT ⭢ Supply to LP pool or other protocols\\

This balanced approach allows us to maintain attractive yields while ensuring that uniBTC has the liquidity needed to support its ecosystem. The flexible allocation of assets between these strategies means we can adapt to market conditions in real time, keeping the yield layer effective and competitive.

### **How can BNB Yield Layer provide such high yields? Are these yields truly sustainable?**

The high yields of BNB Yield Layer are achieved through a combination of intelligent strategy integrations, fully leveraging real yield sources within the BNB ecosystem, making them highly sustainable. For example, Binance Launchpool ran 25 projects in 2024, with each new project yielding an average return of about 1.5%-2%. These figures represent bull market conditions. During a bear market, Launchpool typically runs around 10 projects annually, with each yielding approximately 1%. In this scenario, the estimated minimum annualized return during a bear market would be around 10%.

💰 **Four Yield Sources**:

1. **Fixed PT-clisBNB Yield**: Provides approximately 17% stable base returns
2. **Leverage Amplification**: Uses smart leverage of about 2.8x to magnify base returns to over 49%
3. **Binance Lanchpool Yields (YT-clisBNB)**: Automatically captures all rewards from Launchpool projects
4. **slisBNB Staking Yields**: Seamlessly integrates all native BNB staking yields

### Risks

**General Risks:**

* Smart contract risks: Unknown smart contract risks associated with both CIAN and protocols incorporated in the yield layer
* Liquidation risks: Leverage increases the risk of liquidation (but liquidation protection mechanism has been built into the products)

**Risks Associated With a Specific Strategy:**

* **Recursive Staking Strategy:** The $slisBNB price may depeg from $BNB price
* **PT-clisBNB Recursive Staking Strategy:** The pricing mechanism for PT-clisBNB uses a built-in TWAP oracle. A large number of users buying YT could potentially lead liquidations. For example, if the expected yield from the BNB Launch pool is high, this could lead to a significant number of users purchasing YT, driving up the price of YT while causing the price of PT to drop, thereby increasing the risk of liquidation
* **Borrow to Farm Strategy:** A decline in slisBNB's price could result in liquidation risks. Currently, the liquidity of lisUSD is not very sufficient, which could result in potential liquidity issues and cause excessive slippage during trades

### Safety

* Multi-Signature for Fund Allocation and Parameter Adjustments: Changes of fund distribution and parameters requires multiple approvals, safeguarding the decision-making process and smart contract’s security.
* Complete Contract Implementation for Strategies: Employs full contract implementations for strategies instead of signature filters, enhancing both security and transparency.
* Exchange Rate Limitations: Enforces strict internal limits on exchange rates to protect funds during transactions.
* Rebalance Mechanism: The Rebalance Mechanism will be triggered when the LTV reaches 75%. This additional safeguard is implemented as a proactive measure to mitigate the risk of potential liquidation events, ensuring greater stability and protection for users in volatile market conditions\\

### Transparent and Secure Governance

CIAN uses a transparent and secure governance model to manage the yield layer:

* Transparency: All strategies are implemented & executed through smart contracts, meaning every action is fully visible and verifiable by the community.
* Flexibility: Our system is designed to quickly incorporate new strategies and adjust existing ones. Changes can be made swiftly and transparently, with a governance process that allows for community control through veto voting.
* Security: The open nature of our strategies ensures they can be reviewed and audited by the community, minimizing risks and building trust.

### USCC Overview

The Superstate Crypto Carry Fund (the "Fund") offers Qualified Purchasers access to crypto basis (differential between the spot and future price) strategies. The Fund optimizes the yield and risk of crypto cash-and-carry trades across the Bitcoin basis, Ether basis (including staking Ether), Sol basis (including staking Sol), and U.S. Treasury securities. Ownership in the Fund is recognized by USCC, held either as a token or in book-entry record keeping. Subscriptions and redemptions are facilitated through USD or USDC, with liquidity each market day.

**USCC Interest accrual**

USCC works in a similar way to [Lido's wstETH](https://help.lido.fi/en/articles/5231836-what-is-lido-s-wsteth). You are minted a static amount of tokens and your token balance stays the same unless you mint, burn, or transfer. The NAV increases over time, allowing you to redeem a share of USCC for an increasing amount of U.S. Dollars or USDC.

### Risks Disclosure&#x20;

**Partner:** AAVE/Superstate&#x20;

* CIAN has an exclusive partnership agreement with AAVE

**Collateral Asset Situation:** USCC

* USCC cannot be borrowed
* Corresponding risk: No risk

**Borrowed Asset Situation: USDC**

* USDC borrowers are relatively evenly distributed, but USDC supplier funds are more concentrated, with the top 3 supplier addresses accounting for 85% of the total USDC supply amount
* Corresponding risk: If the top 3 USDC suppliers withdraw, it will cause the USDC pool utilization rate to surge sharply, leading to a sharp increase in borrow rate, which could cause the USCC Yield Layer APY to turn negative. Typically this situation can be classified as normal market fluctuation, and the USDC pool usually gradually balances out within a week

**Liquidity and Deleveraging**

* Immediate Exit Liquidity: 0
* Exclusive Exit Channel: N/A
* Corresponding risk: If extreme market conditions occur and need to exit the position, the deleveraging process can only be executed through the unstake process, which means might face losses due to high borrow rates

**USCC Yield Layer Actual LTV:** 55.43%

* Corresponding risk: Liquidation LTV is 73%, currently no liquidation risk

**USCC & Superstate Transparency:**

* Asset proof is not audited
* Only Superstate's official website discloses fund allocation, latest asset proof update time: 18 Nov 2025
* On-chain assets are not directed to unknown addresses
* Corresponding risk: No risk

# RS Strategies

# sAVAX/AVAX Recursive Staking (8x)

## **Overview**

The [AVAX/sAVAX recursive staking strategy](https://dapp.cian.app/strategy/benqi/create) enables users to safely leverage sAVAX’s staking rewards & supply APY. This strategy is powered by CIAN, an automation platform for web3, which primarily focuses on staking derivatives and protection/optimization tooling. BENQI and CIAN have recently established a strategic partnership aiming to accelerate the evolvement of the sAVAX ecosystem.

**What are the benefits of sAVAX in DeFi?**

sAVAX is the AVAX’s staking derivative provided by BENQI, the largest liquid staking protocol, as well as the leading lending protocol on Avalanche. The relation between sAVAX and AVAX is analogous to that between stETH and ETH.

On POS networks like Avalanche, users can stake native tokens (AVAX) to increase the network security in exchange for a staking reward. The rise of liquid staking on BENQI (BLS) now allows users to stake native tokens through them to the network for **extra benefits**: no constraints in the number of tokens & hardware, most notably, receiving **staked assets** (sAVAX) for **increased flexibility** and **extra yield**.

**What are the steps involved in leveraged staking? (Using sAVAX - AAVE for this example)**

This strategy supports two lending platforms, AAVE and BENQI. We will take AAVE as an example in this article due to the higher LTV, 92.5%.\
\
Also, note that BENQI and AAVE's strategies have different leverage:\
1\. sAVAX (AAVE): 8x\
2\. sAVAX (BENQI): 3x

When applying CIAN’s leveraged staking strategy, the following steps will be executed simultaneously within one transaction:

*For this example, let’s assume that we have 100 AVAX and that the exchange rate between sAVAX and AVAX is of 1.*\
\&#xNAN;*The max LTV is 0.95\*0.97\*liquidation threshold = 87.54%*

1. *Stake 100 AVAX in BENQI (BLS) to receive 100 sAVAX, or swap AVAX for sAVAX on Platypus (whichever method is currently offering the best rate);*
2. *Deposit sAVAX in AAVE V3 lending market for supply yield (E-mode enabled);*
3. *Flashloan 702.56 AVAX from AAVE V3 (leveraged 7.02X);*
4. *Stake the flashloaned 702.56 AVAX in BLS for extra staking yield, or swap AVAX for sAVAX on Platypus (whichever method is currently offering the best rate);*
5. *Deposit the extra 702.56 sAVAX in AAVE V3 lending market for extra supply APY;*
6. *Using 802.56 sAVAX as collateral, borrow 703.2 AVAX to repay the flashloan.*

Leveraged staking supports both sAVAX & AVAX as a principal. If users choose sAVAX, the system will automatically skip the first step listed above.

**How to calculate the leveraged staking strategy’s APY?**

The positive return rate comes from the supply APY (AAVE) + staking rewards (BENQI). The negative return rate comes from AVAX’s borrow interest on AAVE. Here is the formula:

Assuming that the:

* Principal is AVAX;
* Collateral Ratio: 87.54% (leveraged 8.025x);

<figure><img src="https://1717361315-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FO9IZAEayToLEPbAGTwkL%2Fuploads%2FeGxr6KGL0dRckudmG4KE%2F11222.png?alt=media&#x26;token=fbe5e13e-8f1d-4f6a-8155-ec030e313bbb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**What are the different costs related to leveraged staking?**

1. When executing a leveraged staking strategy, 0.05% of the total AVAX flashloaned will be charged (AAVE);
2. Normal gas fees incurred by each transaction on AAVE and BENQI;
3. AVAX borrow interest rate on AAVE;
4. When closing a leveraged staking position, users will need to pay flashloan fees, exchange fees, and sAVAX/AVAX exchange ratio on DEXes (variable). **Please note that these fees are also getting leveraged.**

## **How to use leveraged staking on CIAN?**

1\. Go to <https://dapp.cian.app/dashboard> and select the strategy of your choice.

<figure><img src="https://1717361315-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FO9IZAEayToLEPbAGTwkL%2Fuploads%2F5HRwuT0jbTqkzO6BIcuy%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=913f505d-48f1-4967-ba64-10036f71c321" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2\. Create your strategy:\
A) Select the principal: AVAX or sAVAX. Select the source: MetaMask Wallet or Smart Wallet. Finally, enter the amount.\
B) Deposit AVAX (location: “gas contract”) to cover all automation-incurred gas fees (**minimum deposit of 1 AVAX)**. We recommend keeping at least 2 AVAX in your “Gas Contract” for security purposes.\
C) Click on execute.

<figure><img src="https://1717361315-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FO9IZAEayToLEPbAGTwkL%2Fuploads%2F0nxfJ703BreabfjjQtBW%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=c511f9a2-d387-4218-8a41-5175e6722049" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3\. If you want to receive notifications concerning your strategy (e.g. *changes in APY, gas fees warning, strategy updates, etc.)* you may enter your E-mail address and enable the option. (Optional)

<figure><img src="https://1717361315-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FO9IZAEayToLEPbAGTwkL%2Fuploads%2FdvOlzHvcHtw6ZiGjvsUv%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=fac1990e-92d8-409b-93e0-82b3ffc07192" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4\. Go to “My Strategies” to check your position status.

<figure><img src="https://1717361315-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FO9IZAEayToLEPbAGTwkL%2Fuploads%2FV1geelwHVmgupzhUpmbr%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=2ab06d88-ff9c-44c4-ab4c-0c0bd0aeb86d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5\. To permanently close your position, you can, at all times, click on “Withdraw”. Your principal and earned yield would then be redirected to your Smart Wallet. Please be aware that some external costs will apply: flashloan fees, exchange fees, and sAVAX/AVAX exchange ratio on DEXes (variable).

**What are the risks related to leveraged staking, and how to mitigate them?**

**1. Increase of AVAX’s borrow rate**\
If the demand for AVAX in AAVE or BENQI increases, the borrow rate might also increase. Assuming that the borrow rate was to drastically surpass the supply rate, users may suffer losses over time.

**Solution**: If users notice that the leveraged staking strategy’s APY is slowly approaching zero, they may choose to close their position. (CIAN’s notification system can help prevent this event)

**2. Liquidation**\
As the price of sAVAX on AAVE and BENQI is determined by the exchange rate on BENQI Liquid Staking, liquidation is unlikely to happen. However, if the loan interest increases as time goes by, we could see the LTV rising which may ultimately cause a liquidation.

**Solution**: Cian’s automation primitive — Flash Repay (this feature will be implemented in strategies in 2023).\
Assuming that the interest rate was to rapidly rise, thus slowly increasing the LTV close to the liquidation limit, Flash Repay would automatically return the LTV to the preset collateral ratio via a flashloan, thus avoiding liquidation.

# MaticX/Matic Recursive Staking (6x)

### Overview <a href="#f59a" id="f59a"></a>

The [MaticX/MATIC recursive staking strategy](https://dapp.cian.app/strategy/maticleveraged/create) enables users to safely leverage MaticX’s staking rewards & supply APY\*. This strategy is powered by CIAN, an automation platform for web3, which primarily focuses on staking derivatives and protection/optimization tooling. STADER and CIAN have recently established a strategic partnership aiming to accelerate the evolvement of the MaticX ecosystem.

### What are the benefits of MaticX in DeFi? <a href="#id-075d" id="id-075d"></a>

MaticX is the Matic’s staking derivative provided by Stader, one of the top liquid staking protocols on Polygon, Hedera, BSC, and more. The relation between MaticX and Matic is analogous to that between stETH and ETH.

On POS networks like Polygon, users can stake native tokens (Matic) to increase the network security in exchange for a staking reward. The rise of liquid staking on Stader now allows users to stake native tokens through them to the network for **extra benefits**: no constraints in the number of tokens & hardware, most notably, receiving **staked assets** (MaticX) for **increased flexibility** and **extra yield**.

### What are the steps involved in leveraged staking? <a href="#id-4f49" id="id-4f49"></a>

This strategy supports AAVE V3 as the main lending platform.

When applying CIAN’s leveraged staking strategy, the following steps will be executed simultaneously within one transaction:

*For this example, let’s assume that the leverage is 3x, that we have 1000* Matic, *and that the exchange rate between* MaticX *and* Matic *is of 1.*

1\. Stake\* 1000 Matic in Stader to receive 1000 MaticX & passive staking yield;

2\. Deposit MaticX in AAVE V3 lending market;

3\. Flashloan 2000 Matic from Balancer (leveraged 3x);

4\. Stake\* the flashloaned 2000 Matic in Stader to receive MaticX, thus extra staking yield;

5\. Deposit the extra 2000 MaticX in AAVE V3 lending market;

6\. Using 3000 MaticX as collateral, borrow 2000 Matic to repay the flashloan.

Leveraged staking supports both MaticX & Matic as a principal. If users choose MaticX, the system will automatically skip the first step listed above.

\*If the Matic/MaticX swap rate is 0.2% superior than the stake rate, the system will swap instead of staking on Stader.

### How to calculate the leveraged staking strategy’s APY? <a href="#id-4ed0" id="id-4ed0"></a>

The positive return rate comes from the supply APY (AAVE) + staking rewards (Stader) + CIAN APY. The negative return rate comes from Matic’s borrow interest on AAVE. Here is the formula:

Assuming that the:

* Principal: Matic
* Exchange rate Matic/MaticX: R
* Leverage: 6x
* **The equation goes as follows:**\ <mark style="background-color:yellow;">**Total APY**</mark> <mark style="background-color:yellow;">= 6 x (MATICX Staking Yield + MATICX Supply APR) - 5 x (MATIX Borrow APR)</mark>

### What are the different costs related to leveraged staking? <a href="#eeec" id="eeec"></a>

1\. When executing a leveraged staking strategy, 0% of the total Matic flashloaned will be charged since the system is using Balancer;

2\. Normal gas fees incurred by each transaction on AAVE and Stader;

3\. Matic borrow interest rate on AAVE;

4\. When closing a leveraged staking strategy, users might lose a certain % of their initial position due to exchange fees, and MaticX/Matic exchange rate on DEXes (variable).

It is quite important to understand that, when using such a leveraged strategy, it’s highly advised to **intend on holding that position for a while**. By doing so, users will give enough time for the high APY to cover their entry & exit costs.

### **How to use leveraged staking on CIAN?** <a href="#id-605f" id="id-605f"></a>

1. Select the Polygon chain. Connect your wallet (e.g. Metamask). Create your CIAN smart-wallet.

### What risks are related to leveraged staking, and how can they be mitigated? <a href="#id-00aa" id="id-00aa"></a>

**1. Increase of Matic’s borrowing rate**\
If the demand for Matic in AAVE increases, the borrowing rate might also increase. Assuming that the borrowing rate was to drastically surpass the supply rate, users may suffer losses over time.

Solution: If users notice that the leveraged staking strategy’s APY is slowly approaching zero, they may choose to close their position. (CIAN’s notification system can help prevent this event)

# FAQs

#### 1. The withdrawal status remains 'Pending,' or the strategy page does not display the amount

**There are 3 main reasons for this issue:RPC issueVPN is unavailableWallet confirmation delay for signature requestHere are the corresponding solutions for each:RPC issue:**

* Visit <https://chainlist.org/> to find the fastest RPC URL
* Add the URL to your Wallet and try again

**For VPN issues:**

* If you are using a VPN, try switching to a different region or disabling the VPN
* Please try deposit/withdraw/refresh the page again with the VPN disabled

**Unconfirmed signature request:**

* Clear your browser cookies
* Refresh the page
* Reconnect your wallet
* Sign the signature request in your wallet

Please try these steps accordingly. If still doesn't work, open a ticket in 「✋」-support channel in [CIAN Discord](https://discord.gg/cian) and provide your EOA wallet address (eg. Metamask) and smart wallet address

#### 2. Why is there no profit from the MATIC/MATIX (6x) Automated Strategy? Why do the 'Incentive rewards' display as '0'?

You can check 'My position', the amount of MATIC will increase slowly **(this is your earnings)** .

<figure><img src="https://1717361315-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FO9IZAEayToLEPbAGTwkL%2Fuploads%2FfutDo2tBjsJqvTNDwy7f%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=9891e5c5-4ae5-4a0b-9b35-d5b87c815774" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Incentive rewards** represent the earnings from incentives. AAVE has suspended the distribution of incentives, so 'Incentive Rewards' will show as ‘’0‘’\
\
Typically, the MATIC strategy has a break-even time of **15** days, after which you can start enjoying the profits\
\
**The strategy apy**= principal staking apy + leverage staking apy +supply apy- borrow apy + incentive apy. Incentive rewards represent the earnings of incentive apy. If the 'incentive apy' shows '0' in the apy composition, then it's normal you don't have any incentive rewards.

# Security

The main objective behind CIAN was to create a fully secured and decentralized application in order to optimize and simplify users' investments while acting as a gateway. CIAN does not custody or control your assets.

After connecting your wallet, you will be given your own smart account, which is only accessible by you, and created CIAN smart contracts. Smart accounts were specifically coded so that, only the owner & creator (you) have the right to withdraw funds from them. CIAN smart contracts have for sole right to move your funds across user-approved protocols.

To ensure complete security and transparency, every transaction within user-defined automation tasks is to be approved by a “signature” before execution. That said, many users value the effort saved by the automation and expressed their interest in limiting the amount of signatures needed for specific tasks. We, therefore, implemented this option for users to choose the level of automation.

In order to automate execution, we utilize EIP-2612 to keep the user’s signature alive for a designated time. Users will be notified to provide their signature again before the EIP-2612 permit reaches its deadline.

The platform itself presents no risk of secret key exposure. Since your assets remain at all times bonded to your smart account, the only risk in case of a security breach would be for your assets to circulate across your selected pools. No funds could ever be withdrawn from your smart account unless requested by you.

That said, no DeFi investments come without risks. Before making a deposit, it is best to research and understand the risks involved with each protocol involved. CIAN smart contracts are currently Audited by PeckShield.

# Fees

* Only Yield Layers & Strategy Vaults charge performance fees
* Automated strategies on Polygon and Avalanche do not charge any fees
* Yield Layers does not charge any fees when the strategy is not active

1. **Performance Fee** CIAN charges a 8% performance fee on profits made. This fee is already calculated in the Net APY shown. Net APY = Gross APY \* ( 1 - performance fee ).

For example, if you deposit 10 ETH and the APY is 10%, the performance fee we charge for the year would be: 10 × 10% × 8% = 0.08 ETH

2. **Exit Fee** 0.02% of the users’ NAV will be charged when exiting the vault to prevent malicious behavior.

This fee will directly go back into the vault.

{% hint style="info" %}
The performance fee is charged continuously, while the exit fee is only charged once.

Suppose you deposited 10 ETH into a Yield Layer and kept it there for an entire year before withdrawing. The average APY for this Yield Layer is 10%.

**The total fees would be:**\
**Initial deposit:** 10 ETH\
**APY:** 10 %\
**Time period:** 1 year\
**Performance fee:** 8%\
**Exit fee:** 0.02%

1. Earned yields = 10 ETH × 10% = 1 ETH
2. Performance fee = 1 ETH × 8% = 0.08 ETH
3. Final position before withdrawal = 11 ETH (10 ETH initial + 1 ETH yield)
4. Exit fee = 11 ETH × 0.02% = 0.0022 ETH

Total fees = Performance fee + Exit fee\
\= 0.08 ETH + 0.0022 ETH\
\= 0.0822 ETH
{% endhint %}

# Referral System

#### How does it work?

**Step 1:** Connect your wallet and get your unique referral link.

**Step 2:** Share your referral link with your friends

**Step 3:** Earn at least 8% performance fee (CIAN charges an 8% performance fee, with 8% of that 8% allocated as referral rewards) when each friend successfully deposits into CIAN

**Step 4:** If the friend you invited brings in other friends who make deposits, you'll earn an additional at least 3% performance fee as a reward

{% hint style="info" %}
When a friend you invite successfully makes a deposit using your referral link, the referral relationship will be established. Going forward, you’ll earn a share of the performance fees from all of your friend’s deposits on CIAN\
\
If you'd like to learn more about performance fees and how they work on CIAN, please refer to 👉🏻 [Fees](https://docs.cian.app/getting-started-with-cian/fees)
{% endhint %}

#### Referral Rewards

**Direct referral rewards:** When a friend you invited makes a deposit, you will receive a performance fee of at least 8% of their deposit

**Indirect referral rewards:** If a friend you invited brings in new friends who make deposits, you will receive an additional at least 3% performance fee from the deposits made by these new friends

**Referral points:** When the friends you invite earn CIAN points, you will also receive at least 2% of their points (this will increase to 20% during certain promotional periods)\\

#### Referral Level

**Cian Yield Layer ABI**

**Deposit**

`optionalDeposit(address _token, uint256 _assets, address _receiver, address _referral) returns (uint256 _shares)`

Before calling this function, user should approve the contract to spend the token (token can be WBTC / FBTC / pumpBTC).

**Example:**

optionalDeposit(WBTC, 1e8, UserAddress, ReferralAddress) Means UserAddress deposits 1 WBTC to the vault, and ReferralAddress gets the referral fee.

**Return:**

`_shares`: The amount of shares user gets.

Also emits event: `OptionalDeposit(msg.sender, _token, _assets, _receiver, _referral)`

**Withdraw**

`requestRedeem(uint256 _shares)`

Will transfer the assets from the user's address to redeemer address, and request to redeem the shares to tokens.

**Example:**

requestRedeem(1e8) Means user wants to redeem 1 shares.

# CIAN Yield Layer Points API

### Introduction

This API specification aims to enable DeFi projects to directly allocate points to this protocol’s address, eliminating the need to distribute points to individual users. By doing so, this protocol can better manage and unify the recording of points accumulation. Project teams must implement at least one of the two available query methods.

### Query Methods

#### Method 1: Fixed Interval Points Query

**Request Method**

`GET /points?address={address}`

(just an example)

**Request Parameters**

| Parameter | Type   | Required | Description         |
| --------- | ------ | -------- | ------------------- |
| address   | string | Yes      | User wallet address |

**Response Example**

```
{
    "points": [
        { "timestamp": 1709251200, "points": 90 },
        { "timestamp": 1709337600, "points": 100 }
    ]
}
```

or if you have several points to distribute,

```
{
    "points": [
        { "timestamp": 1709251200, "points_A": 90, "points_B": 90 },
        { "timestamp": 1709337600, "points_A": 100, "points_B": 90 }
    ]
}
```

**Description**

The interval must be no longer than one day.

***

#### Method 2: Timestamp-Based Points Query

**Request Method**

`GET /points?address={address}&timestamp={timestamp}`

(just an example)

**Request Parameters**

| Parameter | Type   | Required | Description                  |
| --------- | ------ | -------- | ---------------------------- |
| address   | string | Yes      | User wallet address          |
| timestamp | int    | Yes      | Query timestamp (in seconds) |

**Response Example**

```
{
    "points": 120
}
```

**Description**

The responses should vary from different timestamps input.

#### Additional

* The detailed info is not necessary, only the total points are needed.

# Chainlink Oracles

Chainlink’s decentralized metalayer of oracle networks allows smart contracts to seamlessly use and create an array of decentralized services that accelerate dApp development, enable cross-chain functionality, and harmonize disparate technologies.\\

Learn more about Chainlink

CIAN leverages Chainlink Oracles to fetch accurate and real-time data on crypto asset pricing.

This data enables CIAN to calculate the percentage yield of supported strategies, alongside the mint and redemption functions for i.e. ylBTCLST. By integrating Chainlink, CIAN ensures that yield calculations are updated in near real-time, optimizing returns for users.

CIAN Yield layer uses Chainlink Oracles for BTC and ETH markets as a security check before accepting deposits into all CIAN Yield Layers/Vaults to ensure proper receipt tokens for all assets (i.e. ylstETH, ylrsETH) allocation calculations.

This additional validation layer ensures that Yield Layers are safe, compliant with risk parameters, and operating under accurate market conditions.

### Restaking Yield Sources

#### Restaking Platforms

**EigenLayer**

**Intro:** EigenLayer is a protocol built on Ethereum that introduces Restaking, a new primitive for Web3 builders that provides a "marketplace for trust" bringing together Restakers, Operators, and Autonomous Verifiable Services (AVSs). It allows users to stake assets such as Native ETH, Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs), the EIGEN token, or any ERC20 token into EigenLayer smart contracts, thereby extending Ethereum's cryptoeconomic security to additional applications on the network. It fosters innovation by enabling newer projects to benefit from Ethereum’s robust security guarantees without the need to replicate the costly process of securing their own network.

**Official Website:**

**Symbiotic**

**Intro:** Symbiotic is a shared security protocol designed to create a marketplace for economic security. It enables networks that need security to access it from those who have assets to stake, creating an efficient ecosystem where stake can be shared and utilized across multiple networks. Through its flexible architecture, stake providers can maximize their returns while networks can obtain the security guarantees they need.

**Official Website:**

**Mellow**

**Intro:** Mellow Protocol is an innovative liquid restaking protocol designed to operate within the dynamic environment of the AVS ecosystem. Mellow Protocol offers a series of vault smart contracts tailored to different risk profiles, managed by curators. These vaults rely on the inherent flexibility, composability and security of both Ethereum and restaking providers to mitigate AVS risks effectively.
